About the Role

What you'll do

• Lead presales solutioning: Rapidly design high-quality, client-focused offerings and take part in technical discussions that inspire confidence.
• Architectural design: Develop and implement scalable, robust, and secure architectures across platforms, microservices, frontend, and backend.
• Technical leadership: Provide guidance across multiple projects, set standards for engineering excellence, and serve as the escalation point for complex challenges.
• Application Development: Get involved with software engineering tasks when the situation requires it.
• Integration & DevOps: Design seamless system integrations and promote modern DevOps practices - CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.
• AI & innovation: Leverage AI technologies and innovative approaches to enhance product capabilities and streamline delivery.
• Mentorship: Support and coach other engineers and architects, growing ddroidd's Java community and helping teams perform at their best.
• Documentation & governance: Create and maintain architectural documentation, ensure scalability and security, and balance technical rigor with business needs.
• Community & collaboration: Participate in bids, due diligence, and client presentations - representing ddroidd's technical vision with clarity and professionalism.

What we're looking for

• 9-10 years of experience in software engineering, including 3-5 years in corporate environments.
• Strong background in Java, with additional experience in frontend technologies.
• Proven ability to design end-to-end solutions across varied technical landscapes (platforms, microservices, cloud).
• Good understanding of infrastructure and cloud platforms - AWS preferred, Azure also valuable.
• Experience participating in bids or presales processes and collaborating directly with clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - humble, adaptable, and able to earn trust quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor others and guide teams toward technical excellence.
• A balance of commercial awareness and strong technical judgment.

Nice to have

• Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Experience with AI-driven solutions or intelligent systems.
• Familiarity with solution presentations and technical storytelling for clients.
